A client was referred to us the day before a major meeting with an angel investor. He needed IP protection and licensing advice ASAP.


We worked out a flat fee arrangement to let us do the work quickly as a team without worrying about going over budget, allowing us to focus on the client’s needs and goals rather than worrying about billable hours. The team spent the day with the client hammering out ideas and strategies.


Working from 1-6pm the day of the angel-investor meeting, we filed a non-provisional utility patent, a design patent and two trademark applications.

Later, we consulted with the client to provide mentor recommendations, small business development resources, financing and manufacturing contacts.
